If Uttarkashi is included in your Chardham tour package, do not miss the privilege of paying a visit to the famous Shakti Temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Parvati.
The prime attraction of this temple that you can see on your visit is the 6 meters tall and 90 cm wide iron and copper Trishul, which is believed to have been thrown here by Goddess Shakti, a form of Goddess Durga, with the purpose of killing demons. According to popular beliefs, you cannot lift up the Trishul in spite of exerting the maximum energy, but can push it with a finger.

If you are visiting Badrinath with the Chardham Yatra package, do seek blessings at the famous Badrinath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and built during the Vedic Age. You should also attend the Maha Abhishek and Abhishek Puja in the morning and Kapoor Aarti in the evening.
You can purchase tulsi and dried fruits at the temple itself to make an offering to the deity. Since the Badrinath Temple is only open from the end of April to the beginning of November due to harsh weather conditions, you have to plan your visit accordingly.
