Splendors of Sri Lanka Itinerary

Kandy

Travel Distance: 122 KM | Travel Time: Approx. 4 Hours

As you arrive at the airport, you will be picked by our local representative upon your arrival and transferred to Kandy.
Enjoy the scenic 4 hours drive from Colombo to Kandy.
En route Kandy visit the Pinnwala Elephant Orphanage which is approx. 55 miles away from Colombo on the Colombo-Kandy Road.
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is not a zoo, but something bigger and more interesting. It is a breeding ground for Asian elephants who are left abandoned due to unforeseeable circumstances.
Reconnect with nature and wildlife as you witness the way elephants are treated and cared for, the elephants being fed milk, their bathing routine, and interaction with each other.
Upon reaching your hotel in Kandy, relish the hospitable treatment you receive and complete your check-in formalities before proceeding to your room.
In the evening, catch a panoramic view of the picturesque town from upper lake drive.
Visit a Kandyan Dance performance and be treated to a spectacular fire walking finale.

Nuwara Eliya

Travel Distance: 95 KM | Travel Time: Approx. 3 Hours

Wake up in the morning, have your healthy breakfast and check out from hotel and proceed for Nuwara Eliya.
Before proceeding to Nuwara Eliya enroute to the Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue is the biggest Buddha statue in Sri Lanka nestled within the hilltops above Kandy and offers the panoramic view of city.
Further proceed to beautiful golden-roofed Buddhist Temple in the heart of Kandy, where you can see the legendary tooth relic of Buddha which is enclosed inside several golden boxes, covered in jewels.
Later you can stroll around the Kandy Lake which is also known as the "Sea of Milk" and relaxed in the midst of the nature.
Head to The Royal Botanical Gardens, where you can witness more than 5,000 species of trees, plants, and creepers, the Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists.
After exploring Kandy you can proceed to Nuwara Eliya and enjoy the scenic landscapes on the way.
As you reach your hotel in Nuwara Eliya, complete the formalities and relax for a while.
In the evening, you can visit the Gregory Lake and enjoy the happy vibe.
Explore the Bale Bazaar, popularly known as the winter market you can buy winter products as a souvenir.

Bentota

Travel Distance: 209 KM | Travel Time: Approx. 6 Hours

Wake up in the hills covered with the green carpet and enjoy your after enjoying a lavish breakfast and check out from your hotel and proceed to Bentota.
En route, to Royal Botanical Garden renowned for its collection of a variety of orchids. It includes more than 300 varieties of orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees.
Visit the Hanuman Temple, it is believed that this was the first place in Sri Lanka where Hanuman landed before starting the quest to look for Goddess Sita.
Later proceed to Ramboda Falls it is known for scenic landscapes comprising of highlands, ridges, plains, streams and hilly mountains.
Stopover at Seetha Amman Kovil, a temple dedicated to Goddess Sita and is believed that place that Goddess Sita was kept during after she had been captured by the demon king Ravana of Lanka.
Proceed towards to Hakgala Botanical Gardens which is the home to a variety of wild life, including bears, monkeys and birds.
Once done exploring Nuwara Eliya you can proceed your journey to Bentota.

Wake up in the morning the sound of the waves of sea and breathe in the fresh air.
After enjoying a lavish breakfast at your hotel in Bentota, proceed to Mirissa.
En route, visit the Galle fort which consist of National Maritime Museum, Dutch Reformed Church, The Galle Lighthouse and Meera Mosque.
Once you are done exploring the Galle Fort you can proceed to Mirissa.
As you reach the Mirissa beach you can spot the Parrot rock a huge red-colored mound that towers over the water.
You can also visit Coconut Tree Hill which is one of the most Instagrammable spots.

The above mentioned rates for the package are valid for the Indian Nationals only.
All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, jeep safari, boat rides, monument entrances, camera charges, permits, etc. are not a part of the package.
You need to get extra PCR Tests done as per the airline requirement at the time of departure. (USD 40 per person )
Early check in & late checkout prices are not a part of the package.

Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara

Also known as the Kelaniya Temple, Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara is a Buddhist temple which is situated seven miles from Colombo. This temple is well known for its magnificent sculptor’s art. Kelaniya Temple was built on the bank Kelaniya River which is believed to be one of the most sacred sites in Sri Lanka.This temple was built in the era prior to the chronologically recorded history of Sir Lanka (since 543 B.C). The ancient temple was destroyed by a lot of invaders but was reconstructed again. Highlights: The best feature of the Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara is its amazing architecture which has grabbed the attention of lot of tourist around the world. There is a vaulted grill that opens upto the lower patio of the temple yard. The lower patios lead four sets of flights in four directions to the Upper patio where you can see the image of Hose, Dagaba and the Bo Tree (Peepal tree) with other buildings. Location: The temple is located at Kelaniya, Colombo, Sri Lanka Price: The entry is free of cost.

Gangaramaya Temple

Gangaramaya Temple is not only one of the most beautiful but also one of the most iconic Buddhist temples in Sri Lanka. It is more than a century since this temple was constructed; however even today, the temple doesn’t stop to surprise tourists and devotees. The pathways and doors that lead into the main sanctum sanctorum contain intricately carved sculptures that are simply breath-taking. Highlights: The ceilings and walls contain pictures and miniature paintings that explain stories from Buddhism religion. In the main sanctorum, a huge Buddha statue exudes a brilliant sense of calmness in the devotees. Built in a mix of various architectural styles including India, Burmese, Thai and Chinese, this temple also houses a museum. Location: The temple is located right on the Jinaratana Road in the heart of Colombo city. Timings: The temple is open from 5.30AM to 10PM. Price: Entry fee is LKR200 per adult.

Seema Malaka

Standing tall along the banks of Beira Lake, Seema Malaka forms a part of the southern region of the Colombo City of Sri Lanka. It lies in conjunction with the Gangaramaya Temple, which is the main shrine there. Residing on three man-made podiums, Seema Malaka Temple stands unrivaled in both its location and architecture. The architectural allure of this temple is highly inspired from the ancient forest monasteries Ritigala and Anuradhapura. The building of the temple is built in the Kandyan style and is characterized by its hanging blue tiled roofs. There is a pontoon boardwalk that links the premises of the Seema Malaka temple with its mainland. The outer boundary wall of this shrine is adorned by numerous Buddha statues representing different sitting postures.

Dehiwala Zoo

Established in the year 1936, Dehiwala Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in Asia. It is also believed that the open zoo concept was introduced by this particular zoo which was further taken ahead by various others. Basically known as the Dehiwala Zoo, the real name of the zoo is the National Zoological Gardens of Sri Lanka.

National Museum Of Colombo

The largest museum in Sri Lanka, the National Museum of Colombo was established in January 1877 by Sir William Henry Gregory, the then British Governor of Ceylon (Sri Lanka). Currently maintained by the Department of National Museum of the central government, the museum is home to a lot of important collections, including the crown and throne of the Kandyan monarchs.
